How can a corporation determine the success of its information security program?  One certainly needs objectives but how do you know when those objectives are met?  A set of meaningful measurements is required for each objective that can be tracked and reviewed over time to meet a set target.  The sum of objectives, measurements, and targets is what provides a corporation with the needed metrics.

The metrics document contains a list of twelve (12) objectives that must be met to ensure success of a corporation's IS program. Objectives alone aren't sufficient however, measurements must be developed to determine when a particular objective has been met to the satisfaction of the corporation.
